Whether you’re an Elder Scrolls fanatic or a beginner, keep in mind these tips to help you improve your overall game experience.
Use your Items, don’t Hoard them
This might sound like an extremely obvious tip, telling players to use their resources when available, but many new and experienced players alike end up hoarding all of their resources and never using them. Throughout the game you’re going to collect a bunch of different items, from leather to ingredients, you’re going to want to use these smaller items to craft larger items such as potions and other items to improve your smithing abilities. Once you have crafted these items don’t be afraid to use them, items are meant to be used, and hoarding a bunch of potions that you’re never going to use is very inefficient.
Read the Books in Skyrim
Throughout the game, a whole bunch of different books of different genres will be available to you. If you’re interested in Skyrim lore or want to learn a certain backstory, you should read all of the available books. These books may shed some light on the plot or information that you might have not understood. Furthermore, some books may give you access to quests or may even be a skill book. You don’t want to miss out on the chance to do an extra quest or receive an extra skill book as they may come in handy in the future.
Save your Gold
We all know from experience, that usually in games like Skyrim, the weapons available to you from merchants aren’t the best in the later stages of the game. While they have been beneficial to players who have just started, players who are further in the game may want to refrain from making frivolous purchases. Save your gold for more important and necessary purchases, and make sure to sell obsolete items back to the merchants to compensate for loot that needs to be disposed of.
Use your Horses efficiently
Mountains in Skyrim can indeed be climbed, but you’re going to want to use your horse if you want to trek the icy mountains. Horses can go up mountains that players usually can’t on foot. By using your horses efficiently, you may save some time or even explore a certain area that you might have thought you were unable to.
