Keyboards have been essential to PC gaming ever since its creation. This multi-functional tool has been tinkered with and upgraded for gamers. Many gaming keyboards outweigh their regular counterparts with mechanical keycaps, better ergonomics, RGB, etc. Here are some of the best Gaming Keyboards in 2020.
Corsair K95 RGB Platinum
The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum comes with Cherry MX Speed, Brown Switches. It is a full-sized keyboard with dedicated media controls and of course RGB. The Corsair K95 Platinum is superb, it comes with a dedicated wrist wrest which further improves the build quality and ergonomics of this keyboard. The key responses are satisfying and elegant. This keyboard also comes with an extra set of keycaps which are helpful if you ever lose one. The media controls are also superb, as they are easy to use and clean. One downside of this keyboard is that it is very expensive, with a 200$ price tag, it surely isn’t for those on a budget.
Razer Huntsman Elite
The Razer Huntsman Elite is a fascinating keyboard. It is the only keyboard that has optomechanical switches, making it very interesting. These switches make an almost instantaneous activation. Furthermore, due to design specifications, these switches are twice as durable as normal mechanical switches. The Razer Huntsman Elite also comes with a magnetic wrist wrest that is very comfortable for your wrist. It has dedicated media controls and a multi-function dial that can be changed to anything you want through the use of Razer Synapse. Of course, the keyboard also comes with RGB. Again a downside of this keyboard is that it is also very expensive sharing the same price tag as the K95 RGB Platinum.
HyperX Alloy Elite RGB
The HyperX Alloy Elite RGB is a great keyboard that is simple yet appealing. You can customize the switches with a choice from Cherry MX Brown, Blue, and Red Switches. This keyboard comes equipped with dedicated media controls, a wrist-rest, and of course full RGB. The WASD and first four number keys also come in a silver set that comes with the keyboard. This is a much more affordable keyboard when compared to the K95 and Huntsman Elite, with prices around 130$ and even less without the RGB.
This K840 keyboard is a great budget keyboard for gamers. It is durable with its aluminum build and looks clean and sleek for its price. While it doesn’t come with RGB and Macros it is still a great aesthetically looking keyboard. While the keycaps may be fragile at times, it is still great for the price you’re paying. For the K840 you can expect prices from 80$ and below depending on sale prices.
If you’re looking for a keyboard without the hassle of wires, the Logitech G915 is the keyboard for you. It comes with great switches and full RGB lighting. This is a visually striking keyboard and in conjunction with the wireless aspect, it sits very well on your desk. It connects via a USB dongle or Bluetooth connection. It performs just as quickly as any wired gaming keyboard. For a wireless keyboard, the price is of course going to be high, coming in at nearly 250$. If you’re looking for something aesthetically pleasing and wireless, with extra cash lying around this is the keyboard for you.
